Nickel Plating
If you are using stainless steel domes to make electrical contact, you might want to consider having your domes plated with Nickel. Nickel plating a stainless steel tactile dome will reduce the contact resistance from about 20-40 ohms to less than 1 ohm throughout the life of the dome.
If you are not using the dome to make electrical contact, plating is not necessary.
